Dr. Elizabeth
Papazian Elizabeth Papazian is an Assistant Professor of Russian in the School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, where she teaches courses in Russian Language, Literature, and Film. She received her Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Yale University in December 2000. Her research interests include early Soviet Russian literature and culture, Soviet film, and Czech literature of the interwar period. Current projects include research on the Ukrainian filmmaker Alexander Dovzhenko; the interwar and wartime writings of the Czech-Jewish author Karel Polacek; and changing models of authorship in Soviet Russian culture, 1921-1934. |
